From 2007 to 2016 I was the primary photographer for the University of South Florida’s College of the Arts. During that time, I made thousands of images of dozens of events for the school. I documented theater, dance, events, gallery openings, marketing materials, work for grant requests, and so much more. It was one of the most rewarding relationships of my career and I often miss shooting their performances.
Dance is one of my absolute favorite things to shoot. From the lighting to the outfits to the movements of the dancers, it’s challenging and rewarding at the same time. The grace and passion dancers exude during their performance is captivating to me, and I love capturing it in still images. This gallery contains some of my favorite images I’ve made during USF performances in a desperate attempt to preserve them. There are so many that didn’t make the cut which I may have to add later, but I often look back at these images with great memories.
